Plant Manager
Our client, a leader in non-ferrous scrap metal recycling, is in need of a skilled Plant Manager to join their team. This is a direct hire, with some relocation assistance provided to the Buffalo, NY area. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of non-ferrous metals, in order to be successful in this position.
DUTIES:
* Will act as a liaison between senior management and plant personnel
* Responsible for instilling a team approach to achieve the best standards for safety, productivity, quality, and efficiency
* Coordinate all shipping, receiving, production, and plant maintenance
* Coordinate freight schedules
* Advise management of sales and purchasing requirements
* Oversee safety program and training
* Conduct plant visits, new employee training, and bid inspections
* Manage the company's ISO-9001 program
REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma, at a minimum
* 3 years of experience working in the non-ferrous scrap metal recycling industry
* Supervisory experience
* Must demonstrate a hands-on approach to management
* Must demonstrate a positive attitude, and utilize a team approach
